10-day trip to… Honduras and Guatemala

Day 1: Arrival in Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Arrive in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras, but leave straight away to Copan

Day 1-2: Copán Ruinas, Honduras

Take a scenic drive to Copán Ruins, a colonial town located in the western part of Honduras, near the border with Guatemala.

Spend two days exploring the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Copán, including the Acropolis, the Hieroglyphic Stairway, and the Ball Court, and visit the Copán Sculpture Museum.

Day 3-4: Roatan, Honduras

Go back o Tegucigalpa and take a flight to Roatan, an island located in the western part of Honduras, near the border with Guatemala.

Spend the day exploring the island, including the beaches, the water activities, and the wildlife, and take part in activities such as snorkeling, diving, and kayaking.

Day 5-6: Antigua, Guatemala

Take a flight to Antigua, a colonial city located in the central highlands of Guatemala.

Spend the day exploring the city, including the Parque Central, the Catedral de Santiago, and the Palacio de los Capitanes, and take part in activities such as cooking classes, coffee tours, and hiking.

Day 7-8: Quiriguá, Guatemala

Cross the border into Guatemala and take a scenic drive to Quiriguá, a remote archaeological site located in the Petén region of northern Guatemala.

Spend two days exploring the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Quiriguá, including the Great Plaza, the Hieroglyphic Stairway, and the Ball Court, and visit the Quiriguá Sculpture Museum.

Day 9-10: Tikal National Park, Guatemala

Take a scenic drive to Tikal National Park, located in the Petén region of northern Guatemala.

Spend two days exploring the ruins of the ancient Maya city of Tikal, including the Temple of the Great Jaguar, the Temple of the Masks, and the Temple of the Two-Headed Serpent, and visit the Tikal Museum.
